Facing layoffs, reduced hours and general economic insecurity resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a dramatic increase in families and individuals seeking food. *Video credit: [The Texas Catholic](http://www.texascatholic.com/)* This past weekend, our Mobile Community Pantry traveled to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, where volunteers distributed meat, potatoes, fruit and grains to over 100 families in need. ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0135_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=714&name=0000-DSC_0135_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0171_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=715&name=0000-DSC_0171_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/00000000d_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=714&name=00000000d_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0535_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=717&name=0000-DSC_0535_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0493_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=714&name=0000-DSC_0493_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0208_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=715&name=0000-DSC_0208_1000.jpg) Father Rudy Garcia noted: “In these extraordinary times of COVID-19, the church has had to find creative ways of not only proclaiming the gospel, but also living out the gospel. This is how Catholics and people of faith feed those who are hungry.” ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0445_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=715&name=0000-DSC_0445_1000.jpg) ![](https://news.ccdallas.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/0000-DSC_0203_1000.jpg?width=1000&height=714&name=0000-DSC_0203_1000.jpg) *Pictures courtesy of Joe Muniz* ## Want to help?
