Catholic Charities Dallas Will Hold Annual Christmas Distribution for Families in Need

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DALLAS (December 7, 2020) – Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) will be hosting their annual Christmas Distribution at Cardinal Farrell Community Center (321 Calumet Ave. Dallas, TX 75211) on Saturday, December 12, 2020 beginning at 8 a.m. where a total of 526 families in need will receive free Christmas gifts. The Angels of Charity and Archangel Men’s Network – auxiliary groups of CCD – will be heading the distribution alongside CCD staff and Jesuit College Preparatory School students. Bishop Edward Burns of the Diocese of Dallas and Bishop Greg Kelly, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas, will also be in attendance.

Gifts were provided by donors via contactless shopping. Instead of directly providing material gifts, donors gave funds that CCD staff used to purchase gifts via Amazon. Nearly 60% of the gifts that will be distributed were purchased by CCD online this year.

At the event, volunteers will be in limited contact with one another and will be required to wear face masks. Participants are requested to remain in their vehicles and have no contact with volunteers or staff.
