CATHOLIC CHARITIES DALLAS RECEIVES GRANT FROM TEXAS ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOUNDATION

DALLAS – Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) is pleased to announce it has received a $46,026 grant from Texas Access to Justice Foundation (TAJF) CVCLS – LI fund.

These funds will provide free victim-related civil legal services directly to eligible low-income immigrant victims of domestic violence and crime who reside in the 123 county service area of the Dallas District of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

This grant will assist many families who have been victims of violent crimes in Texas to heal and help them on their path to become survivors. Many of the families assisted by CCD in the past have been able to reach financial independence and safety. “We look forward to helping many of these survivors with their civil legal needs.” says Nubia Torres, Director of Immigration Legal Services at CCD.
