Media invited to learn about expanded services - ribbon cutting event - tour of the center
DALLAS, TEXAS (August 2017) Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD), one of the oldest and largest social services organizations in Greater Dallas, today announced it is kicking off a new expansion “Plan 2020” in conjunction with the official opening of the new Central Service Center at 1421 W. Mockingbird Lane, 5:30 PM on Thursday, Sept.7, 2017.
“Launching our three year strategic Plan 2020 with a celebration of our new Central Service Center is a perfect way to show immediate progress which also lays an incredible foundation for all that lies ahead”, says Dave Woodyard, Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Dallas. Woodyard added that CCD is now perfectly positioned to leap forward in expanding our service to the community. “Moving to the new Mockingbird Lane location brings us closer to our clients, making it easier for them to access our services via public transportation and centralizes our service delivery. It also gives us the ability to expand programs and services to those in need throughout our nine-county service area as well as offer new extended service hours and expanded partnerships with other non-profit agencies.”
The new building is 50% larger than the previous facility, at over 56,000 sq/ft., allowing CCD room to expand as well as welcome new service partners to potentially co-locate in the new space. CFO Joe Brogdon added that the new site has “multiple meeting spaces accommodating 8 to 200 persons and that CCD is well now superbly positioned to be a welcoming nucleus for good thought, meetings, trainings and more”.
Other nuances to the Plan 2020 include an expanded Board of Directors, a new look, logo and message. Commenting on the new look, Woodyard simply says, “It’s a new day for CCD. We want to make sure the community sees us in a new light and understands that we not only serve all in need yet also raise awareness of just how many truly valuable services we provide.”
